PRN RN Wound Care Nurse to provide advanced, evidence-based wound management for diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess wounds and evaluate progress using evidence-based standards.
- Perform complex wound dressings and implement care plans per protocol.
- Perform debridement as appropriate and monitor for complications.
- Monitor healing, identify infection risks, and support prevention efforts.
- Educate patients and families on wound care and infection prevention.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EHR.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current RN licensure and strong clinical wound care knowledge.
- Ability to perform complex dressing procedures and wound-related interventions.
- Sound judgment in assessing wound status and monitoring healing.
- Strong communication and patient/family education skills.
- Collaborative mindset and attention to detail for clinical documentation.
