Role Overview:
The Staff Registered Nurse III provides professional nursing care, focusing on patient and family-centered approaches within an integrated healthcare model. Responsibilities include assessing patient health, developing and evaluating care plans, documenting interventions, assisting with procedures, and monitoring patient responses. The role involves collaborating with the healthcare team, leading responses to medical emergencies, managing electronic messages, administering medications and IV therapies, and providing health education and counseling. The nurse participates in quality improvement activities, training, and mentoring new staff, and performs advanced procedures under supervision. They also engage in ongoing education and may lead performance initiatives. The position requires autonomous practice and a strong commitment to delivering safe, effective care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum three years of current RN clinical experience, with two in a specialty area.
- Associates degree in nursing, with a high school diploma or GED.
- Active Georgia Registered Professional Nurse License and Basic Life Support certification.
- Preferred: BSN degree and specialty certification within one year of hire.
Key Duties:
- Utilize the nursing process for patient assessment and care planning.
- Document patient data and care interventions accurately.
- Assist with procedures, monitor responses, and lead emergency responses.
- Manage electronic communications and triage requests.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and perform procedures under supervision.
- Provide health education, counseling, and follow-up outreach.
- Participate in quality improvement, training, and mentorship activities.
- Perform advanced procedures, such as stress tests and infusions, autonomously under supervision.
