We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for a travel assignment focused on high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing patient conditions and monitoring vital signs and telemetry data
- Administering medications and treatments according to standards
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Explaining procedures to patients and families, ensuring understanding
- Preparing patients for diagnostics, assisting with treatments, and monitoring responses
- Maintaining a safe environment and adhering to infection control protocols
- Documenting patient information accurately and comprehensively
- Facilitating discharge planning and advocating for patient needs
Qualifications and skills required:
- Recent Med Surg RN experience (minimum one year)
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Strong clinical, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to assist with patient mobility and equipment
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle frequent interactions with the public
