Role Overview: The ICU Registered Nurse provides critical care to patients in high-acuity environments, assessing, monitoring, and operating life-support equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and respond to critically ill patients’ conditions
- Administer complex medications and treatments
- Operate advanced life support devices and interpret hemodynamic data
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and emotional needs
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
- Educate patients and families about ICU procedures and recovery
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize care
- Maintain proficiency through ongoing education and adhere to infection control protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Skills:
- One year of recent ICU experience
- Valid RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to handle equipment and patient needs
- Proficiency in clinical procedures, documentation, and technology
