We are seeking a skilled Long Term Care RN for a travel assignment in a facility in Waukon, Iowa.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing resident health, developing and updating personalized care plans
- Administering medications and treatments safely
- Monitoring for changes in condition and responding accordingly
- Providing skilled procedures such as wound care and IV therapy
- Supervising and supporting nursing staff, educating residents and families
- Documenting care, resident progress, and health changes
- Responding to emergencies and coordinating with healthcare teams
- Ensuring compliance with safety protocols, infection control, and regulations
Qualifications and skills required:
- One year of recent LTC RN experience
- Valid RN license and current BLS/CPR certification
- Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in reading and writing in English, PC skills
- Physical ability to move equipment and assist residents
- Ability to work under pressure, adhere to schedules, and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
