Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a busy Level I Trauma Center, focusing on trauma, geriatric trauma, and acute care surgery patients. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families. The role emphasizes patient safety, quality care, education on illness management, and promoting a healing environment.
Key Duties:
- Deliver patient and family-centered care, including education on post-treatment needs and medication management.
- Participate in safety, quality, and compliance activities, and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Develop and communicate comprehensive care plans, considering physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs.
- Utilize critical nursing skills for assessment and evaluation, ensuring holistic patient care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Educational requirements: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Licensure: Active RN license.
- Experience: No experience required; 2+ years preferred.
