Role: Surgical Technician
Responsibilities: Assist the surgical team in preparing and maintaining sterile fields, passing instruments, supplies, and medications during procedures, and ensuring proper setup of operative equipment. Perform technical tasks such as maintaining supplies, performing instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with RNs, and managing the sterile environment. Transport patients, complete clerical duties, and perform housekeeping tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Skills: Required: Surgical Technician certification, CPR/BLS certification, completion of an accredited surgical technology program. Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent, associate’s/technical degree, scrub technician experience, operating room training, CNA certification. Ability to perform aseptic techniques, attention to detail, and good organizational skills.
Additional: Must adhere to facility-specific licensing standards and organizational policies, including vaccination requirements. The role involves supporting patient safety and operational efficiency within the surgical setting.
