Job Summary
Seeking a certified Surgical Technologist to assist in surgical procedures across all ages, ensuring aseptic techniques, proper site verification, and specimen handling. Responsibilities include preparing operating rooms, supporting surgeons intra-operatively, maintaining supplies and inventory, and documenting procedures. The role involves patient assistance, wound assessment, sterile dressing changes, and room cleanup. The technologist collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, trains new staff, and reports patient reactions and procedural outcomes. Work is performed in a clinical environment, with adherence to policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
- Active Surgical Technologist Certification or meeting Act 80 guidelines
- Previous experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical procedures, and patient care
- Ability to work effectively in a team and handle multiple responsibilities
