Operating Room Assistant
Support safe, effective surgical care under the direction of a registered nurse by assisting with operations in a sterile environment.
- Prepare operating/surgical suites and procedure rooms for cases.
- Assist surgeons at the operative field as directed.
- Maintain strict aseptic technique and adherence to sterile procedures.
- Maintain readiness and cleanliness of rooms, including proper room turnover between cases.
- Coordinate and ensure availability of required supplies and equipment.
- Support overall perioperative workflow to promote patient safety and efficient case handling.
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to follow aseptic/sterile protocols and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a high-care environment.
- Willingness to work under clinical supervision and follow direction from nursing staff.
- Basic knowledge of perioperative processes, supplies, and equipment readiness.
