Surgical Technologist to support safe, efficient surgical procedures in a healthcare setting. Prepare operating rooms, establish and maintain sterile fields, select, pass, and manage surgical instruments, and handle specimens. Assist surgeons and nursing staff throughout procedures while ensuring patient safety.
Key Duties
- Perform aseptic setup and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
- Set up, maintain, and verify surgical equipment and supplies
- Select and pass instruments; support surgeons during operations
- Handle specimens and support proper specimen workflow
- Complete surgical counts and follow safety protocols
- Support emergency cases as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing, surgical instrumentation, and aseptic technique
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
- Attention to detail for equipment readiness, counts, and documentation
- Team-oriented communication and support for clinical staff
