Job Summary
The Surgical Tech Student Intern is a temporary role designed for surgical technology students to gain hands-on experience in surgical environments.
Under supervision from a Certified Surgical Tech, Registered Nurse, or Physician, interns may perform both direct and indirect patient care tasks.
Key duties include assisting in surgical procedures, preparing operating rooms, and supporting clinical staff to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Enrolled in an accredited Surgical Tech program
Certification/Licensure
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, to be obtained within ninety (90) days of start
