Seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team in performing specialized technical duties under supervision. Responsibilities include preparing for procedures by organizing instruments and supplies, ensuring equipment functionality, maintaining a sterile environment, labeling and dispatching solutions and medications, and managing specimens accurately. The role requires knowledge of procedural steps, dexterity with instrumentation, and adherence to infection control and safety policies. The Technician prepares equipment, performs counts, attends meetings, and completes tasks independently to ensure efficient and safe surgical environments.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program
- Preferred: One year of surgical technician experience
- Certification/Licensure: Surgical Technician Certification by recognized bodies or military/public health programs (only one required), and BLS certification within 90 days of start
