We are seeking a Surgical Technician responsible for supporting the surgical team in a procedural environment. Under supervision, you will assist with equipment setup, ensure sterilization and proper functioning of instruments, and maintain a sterile environment. Key duties include preparing for procedures, managing specimens, and verifying instrument counts. You will attend in-services, follow infection control policies, and demonstrate proficiency in instrumentation and procedural steps. The role requires independent work, effective time management, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program
Experience & Certifications:
- Preferred: One year of surgical technician experience
- Required: Surgical Technician Certification by a recognized certifying body
- Additional: Certification by the National Center for Competency Testing or Military/Public Health Service program (only one needed)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, obtained within 90 days of start
