Job Summary
Under supervision, performs specialized technical duties in the surgical or procedural environment to support the surgical team. Ensures the operating room is safe, equipped, and equipment functions properly, assisting with instrumentation and equipment management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program
Experience
- Preferred: One year of experience as a Surgical Technician
Certification/Licensure
- Surgical Technician Certification by The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting* OR
- Surgical Technician Certification by the National Center for Competency Testing* OR
- United States Military or Public Health Service Surgical Technology Program* (*Only one required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (must be obtained within 90 days of start)
