Role: OR Tech II, a key member of the operating room team, collaborates with perioperative registered nurses to provide individualized, age-specific patient care, ensuring a safe surgical environment and optimal physiologic responses before, during, and after procedures.
Responsibilities: Organize and assist with surgeries across various service lines including robotics, vascular, neurovascular, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, plastic, trauma, and general cases. Maintain sterile techniques, support patient safety, and communicate effectively with team members.
Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent, completion of OR technician training, 2-3 years of experience, and certification as a Surgical Technician. Must have strong knowledge of scrub procedures for multiple surgical specialties, excellent communication skills, flexibility, multitasking ability, and independence.
Certifications & Licenses: Certified Surgical Technician and current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association.
Key Duties: Assist in surgical procedures, maintain sterile environments, support patient physiologic stability, and work independently as needed. Flexibility to work evenings, every other weekend, and holidays is required.
