Role Overview:
Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, training, inventory control, merchandise presentation, and customer service. Ensures store is properly staffed, maintains safety and security standards, and oversees daily opening and closing. Evaluates financial and operational performance, manages ordering and inventory levels, and promotes a clean, organized, and safe shopping environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, select, train, and evaluate employees, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Communicate performance expectations, conduct performance reviews, and address employee development needs.
- Manage store opening/closing, monitor sales, profitability, and expenses to identify business trends.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, merchandising standards, and stock presentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory, cash handling, and security procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service and foster a positive shopping experience.
- Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and compliance with policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Ability to interpret operational documents, perform mathematical calculations, and manage cash handling procedures.
- Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and safety practices.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, and managing staff with legal compliance understanding.
- Preferred high school diploma or equivalent; retail management experience is advantageous.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, and perform related tasks.
