Role Overview:
The Store Manager oversees all store operations, including staffing, training, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, select, train, and evaluate employees while ensuring proper staffing levels.
- Lead performance management, conduct evaluations, and address gaps or disciplinary issues.
- Manage store opening and closing, monitor sales, profitability, and expenses through operating statements.
- Order merchandise to meet or exceed stock targets, oversee inventory accuracy, and facilitate merchandise presentation.
- Maintain store safety, cleanliness, and security, ensuring compliance with safety policies and cash handling procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service and foster a positive shopping environment.
- Ensure proper use of tools and equipment, and complete all necessary documentation accurately and timely.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Ability to interpret documents, perform mathematical calculations, and handle cash accurately.
- Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, and retail operations.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with recruiting, legal compliance, and store security practices.
- Preferred high school diploma or equivalent and management experience in retail.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical & Work Environment:
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Occasional climbing, driving, and exposure to outside weather conditions.
- Fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels.
