Position Overview
Join our team as a Retail Store Associate, responsible for ensuring smooth store operations and delivering exceptional customer service. Your duties include restocking shelves, slicing deli meats, receiving products, assisting customers, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean, inviting environment. You will help foster a sense of community while supporting store functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers professionally and courteously.
- Store Maintenance: Stock, clean, rotate products, and ensure proper store presentation.
- Food Safety & Sanitation: Follow safety procedures for food handling, preparation, and packaging.
- Equipment & Price Accuracy: Maintain equipment, resolve pricing discrepancies, and minimize shrinkage.
- Collaboration: Support other departments and participate in sales promotions as needed.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Basic retail store knowledge and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to stand, lift up to 80 lbs, and operate various equipment like slicers, mixers, and scales.
- Strong attention to detail, accurate vision, and ability to differentiate products.
- Ability to read, learn product locations, and work in a grocery environment with temperatures from 50F to 90F.
- Some retail experience preferred.
