Role: Stepdown Overflow Registered Nurse providing intermediate-acuity care for patients transitioning from ICU or med-surg.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver evidence-based nursing care
- Manage complex patient monitoring and intervene as needed
- Titrate medications and follow prescribed treatment plans
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure safe, accurate handoffs and support facility throughput by flexing across stepdown and overflow beds
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and understanding of care
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current RN licensure
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment for intermediate-acuity patients
- Proficiency with patient monitoring and medication titration
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for coordinated, patient-centered care
- Commitment to quality improvement and compassionate bedside care
