The staff physician role aims to develop a community-based, family-centered primary care program focused on enhancing access to comprehensive, high-quality services and improving health outcomes through prevention, education, and evidence-based chronic disease management.
Reporting to the Director of Family Medicine with oversight from the CMO, the physician may guide support staff and precept learners, collaborating with all staff to ensure effective patient care.
Qualifications include graduation from an accredited medical school, completion of a family medicine residency, active South Carolina medical licensure, and board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine. Skills required encompass effective communication, interpersonal abilities, computer proficiency, confidentiality adherence, clinical competence, and stress management. Physical demands involve typical medical environment activities, with moderate exposure to bloodborne pathogens and minimal travel requirements.
