The Speech Therapist provides diagnostic and therapeutic services for individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
Evaluates communication challenges through assessments and medical history review. Develops and implements individualized treatment plans using evidence-based techniques. Conducts therapy, provides counseling, and teaches patients and families strategies to improve communication. Collaborates with healthcare teams, educators, and other professionals for coordinated care. Maintains accurate documentation and adheres to regulatory standards. Participates in research, training, and community education activities. Supports departmental quality initiatives and maintains positive relationships with patients and staff. Qualifications include a current Texas license, BLS certification, and competencies in assessment, treatment, communication, and teamwork.
