The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering speech therapy services to residents, ensuring high-quality care in compliance with regulations.
Conduct evaluations and provide treatment for speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders based on physician orders. Perform resident screenings within specified timeframes and participate in facility meetings, care planning, and staff education. Develop programs tailored to residents’ needs and assist the facility in meeting certification standards. Adhere to infection control policies and residents’ rights guidelines. Manage caseload scheduling, complete required documentation, and communicate staffing needs. Present professionally and perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure, ASHA certification, and preferably SNF experience. Strong communication, collaboration, and computer skills are essential.
Compensation ranges from $50-$60 per hour for 1-16 hours weekly, with benefits such as flexible scheduling, retirement plans, and employee assistance programs.
Work is performed in person.
