Speech Therapist – In House (PRN)

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing speech therapy services to ensure high-quality resident care in accordance with regulations and facility policies.


  • Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
  • Conduct screenings for new and long-term residents based on referrals or changes in condition.
  • Participate in facility meetings, staff education, and care planning to meet certification standards.
  • Develop programs tailored to resident needs to promote optimal functioning.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, OBRA residents’ rights, and documentation standards.
  • Manage caseload scheduling, assist with staff training, and communicate staffing needs.
  • Maintain professional conduct, dress, and communication at all times.

  • Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure, ASHA certification, and preferably SNF experience. Strong communication skills and computer proficiency are essential.
