The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering speech therapy services to residents, ensuring high-quality care in compliance with regulations.
Conduct evaluations and treatments for residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, following physician orders.
Perform resident screenings within 24 hours of admission and upon significant changes or referrals.
Participate in facility meetings, staff training, and care planning to support residents’ functional goals.
Develop programs tailored to resident needs and assist the facility in meeting certification standards.
Adhere to infection control policies and residents’ rights guidelines.
Manage caseload scheduling, staff education, and maintain professional conduct.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, state licensure, Asha certification, and preferably SNF experience. Strong communication, teamwork, and computer skills are required.
Pay ranges from $50-$60/hour, with flexible hours (1-16 per week) and benefits such as an employee assistance program, flexible schedule, and retirement plan. The role requires in-person work.
