Position Overview:
The Speech Therapist delivers quality patient care by conducting assessments, administering treatments, and developing care plans based on physician orders. Responsibilities include creating evaluation reports, establishing therapy goals, coordinating with healthcare teams, and educating families. They ensure compliance with standards, maintain confidentiality, and serve as a clinical resource.
Qualifications & Skills:
– Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
– Unrestricted SLP license in the practice state
– Current CPR certification
– Preferably one year of recent experience in an acute care setting
Key Duties:
– Provide prescribed speech therapy services
– Follow policies, procedures, and legal standards
– Document evaluations, care plans, and patient progress
– Collaborate with healthcare team and families
– Maintain confidentiality and effective communication
– Support clinical staff as a resource
– Report patient needs and progress to physicians and team
