Speech Pathologist | PEDS

Role Overview: Evaluates and provides speech therapy services addressing deficits in speech, language, cognition, voice, and dysphagia, primarily in a home setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts assessments using formal and informal diagnostic tools to determine patient needs.
  • Develops and implements individualized treatment plans aligned with patient goals.
  • Adjusts intervention strategies based on ongoing evaluations.
  • Delivers direct therapy tailored to patients’ physical, emotional, and intellectual capabilities.
  • Prepares documentation including evaluation results, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and participates in program development and student internships.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must hold CCC-SLP from ASHA or be actively completing a supervised clinical fellowship with certification within one year, or hold a state license.
  • Preferred 1-3 years of experience in hospital, SNF, outpatient, or home health settings.
  • Ability to work effectively, communicate clearly, and demonstrate compassion.
  • Physical and visual acuity sufficient to perform job duties.
