Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Outpatient

The role involves evaluating and treating patients of all ages with speech and feeding impairments, serving as a professional role model and clinical resource for staff and students.

Qualifications include:

  • Master’s Degree in a related field
  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Illinois
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days
  • Completion of continuing education on acute stroke care

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Evaluate speech, language, feeding, and swallowing functions
  • Use appropriate evaluation tools and materials
  • Collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, and other professionals
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home programs
  • Coordinate with pediatric PT/OT and document therapy sessions
  • Supervise students and complete annual requirements for senior status
