Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) -Home Health- Sonoma County

The Speech–Language Pathologist is responsible for providing speech therapy services, including evaluations, assessments, and developing care plans to improve patient communication and swallowing functions. They utilize specialized techniques and equipment, recommend communication aids, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care. The role involves instructing patients, families, and staff, referring to additional services as needed, and maintaining clinical competency. Supervising home health aides and participating in meetings are also part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications include a master’s or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology, proper licensure or supervised clinical experience, and preferably one year of clinical practice. Candidates should have strong communication, organizational skills, and current CPR certification. A valid driver’s license and insured vehicle are required. This part-time, per diem position offers a pay rate starting at $30/hour, with benefits such as health, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, and flexible scheduling. The work is conducted in person, with responsibilities that may extend beyond the outlined duties.
