Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, assessing home environments, identifying speech defects, creating and implementing individualized treatment plans, recommending communication devices, and collaborating with healthcare team members.
Additional duties involve patient and family instruction, maintaining clinical competency, referring patients to other services, supervising aides as needed, and ensuring comprehensive care delivery.
Qualifications include a master’s or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology, licensure or supervised clinical experience as required, passing a national exam, and at least one year of clinical experience.
