Role: Specialty Pharmacy Technician responsible for prescription fulfillment and order processing within a pharmacy setting.
Key Duties:
- Fulfill prescriptions, including specialty pharmaceuticals, injectables, and therapies, adhering to regulations and policies.
- Process, pack, and ship pharmacy orders, ensuring all supplies and documentation are included.
- Manage inventory, storage, and equipment calibration.
- Verify member data, process claims, and address medication issues through communication with patients, providers, and insurers.
- Interpret prescriptions, input data into dispensing systems, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Track shipments, triage misrouted packages, and coordinate logistics.
- Maintain documentation and serve as liaison among patients, providers, insurers, and manufacturers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience.
- Valid pharmacy technician license in good standing.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Preferred: experience in warehouse or supply chain, certification, or specialty pharmacy background.
