Role Overview:
The Specialty Pharmacy Technician supports prescription fulfillment and order intake within a pharmacy setting, under supervision.
Their responsibilities include dispensing specialty pharmaceuticals, processing, packing, and shipping orders, managing inventory, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
They verify patient and provider data, coordinate shipments, and act as a liaison between patients, providers, insurers, and manufacturers.
Additional duties involve maintaining documentation, handling pharmacy software, and addressing medication or order issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Must have a high school diploma or GED, with at least 1+ year of pharmacy technician experience and a valid state license.
Preferred qualifications include warehouse or supply chain experience, national certification, and specialty pharmacy background.
Candidates should be able to lift 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and collaborate effectively across teams.
