Role Overview:
The Sonographer performs ultrasound imaging for diagnosis and treatment, including breast, abdominal, obstetric, and vascular studies. Responsibilities include ensuring equipment readiness, conducting examinations independently, and documenting procedures accurately. May assist with needle procedures like biopsies and perform portable or on-call exams as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
– Requires Breast Sonography experience
– Education: Associate degree or equivalent
– Licenses: RDMS or equivalent; CPR and RDCS preferred for higher experience
– Preferred: 2+ years of experience and relevant certifications
Key Duties:
– Maintain equipment functionality
– Conduct ultrasound exams ensuring quality and accuracy
– Document procedures thoroughly
– Work across various sites, including portable and on-call shifts
