Sonographer

Role Overview:

The Sonographer performs ultrasound imaging, including abdominal, small parts, obstetrical, and vascular studies, to aid in diagnosis and treatment for adult and pediatric patients. Responsibilities include ensuring equipment readiness, conducting imaging examinations independently, and documenting procedures accurately. The role may involve performing on-call, portable, and site-specific studies, as well as assisting with needle procedures like biopsies and drainages.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate degree or equivalent trade school training
  • RDMS or equivalent certification; preferred experience of 2+ years and RDCS certification
  • Licenses and certifications such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Ability to operate ultrasound equipment and perform imaging procedures independently

Key Duties:

  • Ensure proper functioning of ultrasound equipment
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures accurately
  • Document procedures thoroughly
  • Assist with image-guided therapies and needle procedures
  • Work independently and on-call as required
