Role Overview: A Senior Manager in Business Tax Services is responsible for managing large client portfolios, building and maintaining relationships at a senior level, and providing strategic tax advice. They oversee service delivery, team management, and risk and financial performance of projects. The role involves assessing clients’ tax impacts, developing supporting arguments, and recommending solutions, while also contributing to market and business activities. The Senior Manager acts as a coach and mentor to tax professionals, ensuring high-quality client service and team development.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of eight years’ recent experience in mutual fund tax or investment partnerships
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited institution
- Licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM, or other approved credentials; candidates without these have a year to obtain one
- Proficiency in taxation of corporations, partnerships, and flow-through entities, including reviewing tax returns (1120 RIC, 1065) and Schedule K-1
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex financial information
- Experience managing multiple client engagements and leading client service teams
