The RN – Team Coordinator oversees patient care and directs nursing staff to ensure compassionate, patient-centered services on a shift basis.
Practices autonomously within professional standards and hospital policies, demonstrating critical thinking and evidence-based care. Serves as a clinical resource, mentor, and role model, fostering team development and staff retention. Facilitates effective communication, resolves conflicts, and supports department initiatives, including education and quality improvement. Participates in performance improvement, data analysis, and LEAN projects to enhance patient care processes. Assists with staff assignments, supervision, and evaluation, and supports shared governance efforts. Requires a nursing degree (BSN preferred), current RN license, relevant clinical experience, and certifications such as BLS and ACLS. Works night shifts with rotating weekends at a hospital setting. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, ongoing education, and adherence to professional and organizational standards.
