Position Overview:
- Provide specialized nursing care in a 14-bed Surgical ICU (SICU) environment, supporting post-operative and critically ill surgical patients.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, communicate patient conditions, and coordinate multidisciplinary care to ensure seamless treatment.
- Follow physician and nursing directives, and assist with discharge planning in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct patient care according to established policies and protocols.
- Serving as a primary coordinator for patient care activities.
- Monitoring patient status, recording observations, and communicating effectively.
- Carrying out physician and nursing orders accurately.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- CPR/BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Life Support certification obtained within 180 days of hire.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school.
