Role Overview: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, provides professional nursing care by applying the nursing process to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing patient status through interviews, observations, and physical exams.
- Developing individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team.
- Implementing interventions to achieve expected outcomes and documenting progress.
- Evaluating patient responses, modifying care plans as needed, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Sharing clinical knowledge through informal teaching and coordinating interdisciplinary care.
- Performing bedside lab tests, ensuring patient safety, and utilizing resources for problem-solving.
- Prioritizing work based on patient needs, collaborating for task organization, and providing shift reports.
- Advocating for patients, utilizing communication strategies, and educating patients and families.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives, data collection, and process enhancements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with active license as per local regulations.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
- Educational credentials: Nursing diploma or college diploma in nursing.
- Technical proficiency with medical equipment and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities.
