RN – Regional Float Acute Care

Role Overview: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, provides professional nursing care by applying the nursing process to ensure optimal patient outcomes.


Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing patient status through interviews, observations, and physical exams.
  • Developing individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team.
  • Implementing interventions to achieve expected outcomes and documenting progress.
  • Evaluating patient responses, modifying care plans as needed, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Sharing clinical knowledge through informal teaching and coordinating interdisciplinary care.
  • Performing bedside lab tests, ensuring patient safety, and utilizing resources for problem-solving.
  • Prioritizing work based on patient needs, collaborating for task organization, and providing shift reports.
  • Advocating for patients, utilizing communication strategies, and educating patients and families.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives, data collection, and process enhancements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with active license as per local regulations.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
  • Educational credentials: Nursing diploma or college diploma in nursing.
  • Technical proficiency with medical equipment and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practices, patient safety, and quality standards.
