Role: Registered Nurse in the Medical Pulmonary Unit
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients and collect health data involving patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Coordinate patient care plans to ensure interventions are safe, timely, and appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members in person, over the phone, and in writing.
- Provide individualized teaching to patients and families based on thorough assessments.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice effectiveness.
- Maintain current knowledge of nursing standards, laws, and regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s or BSN degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Current nursing license in Illinois.
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Key Duties:
- Provide night shift care, with flexibility for at least 48 hours every 6 weeks, including weekend hours if needed.
- Deliver compassionate, personalized patient care aligned with regulatory and quality standards.
