The RN Manager, Perioperative Services – Evenings oversees the planning, coordination, and supervision of the Operating Room, Pre-Op, PACU, and Sterile Processing departments during evening shifts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing staff utilization, budgeting, and process improvements to ensure efficient patient throughput and staff workflows.
- Supervising clinical care and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., DNV, OSHA, AORN).
- Developing physician relationships and supporting departmental operations, including equipment management and survey readiness.
- Leading staff development, performance appraisals, recruitment, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Monitoring quality metrics, patient and staff satisfaction scores, and implementing improvement plans.
- Ensuring departmental policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements are consistently met.
- Participating in budget management, committee meetings, and representing the department as needed.
Qualifications include:
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with Illinois licensure
- BLS certification within 30 days
- National Nursing Certification within 3 years
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Preferred: 3+ years of perioperative nursing and leadership experience
