The Operating Room RN – First Assistant is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care using the nursing process, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are maintained. They coordinate care with other departments, provide leadership and evaluation for caregiving staff, and uphold the organization’s mission and values.
Qualifications include a current RN license in Missouri, a minimum of 2 years of intraoperative experience as both scrub and circulating nurse (3+ years preferred), and certifications such as BLS/ACLS within one year and CNOR & RN-First Assistant within one year. Preferred qualifications include a BSN and additional certifications like CRNFA.
