Position Overview
- Leading and coordinating staffing in the MICU Stepdown Unit to ensure high-quality patient care and clinical objectives.
- Assigning, directing, educating, and monitoring nursing and support staff during the shift.
- Assessing patient care needs, developing care assignments, and evaluating care effectiveness.
- Responding to patient care concerns and providing input on staff hiring, training, and development.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current RN licensure by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- BLS certification required within 1 month of hire; ACLS and PALS may be required within 6 months.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
