Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team, following evidence-based practices and organizational standards. They collaborate with patients and families, ensuring individualized care that respects cultural diversity and promotes positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based standards.
- Partner with patients and significant others through effective communication methods such as bedside reports and teaching, focusing on patient goals.
- Coordinate and document safe, quality care while fostering a respectful, inclusive clinical environment.
- Support performance improvement initiatives, research, and shared governance to enhance patient safety and care quality.
- Participate in professional development, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and uphold clinical competencies and organizational policies.
- Promote evidence-based practice, clinical research, and resource management to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates or Bachelor’s Nursing degree (preferred).
- Current RN license (single or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
- Experience in direct patient care preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, time management, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in technology and clinical documentation; ability to work effectively in fast-paced, emergency situations.
