Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team in an acute care setting, focusing on orthopedic surgical patients. They practice in a supportive environment guided by evidence-based standards, professional models, and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and individualized care.
- Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive, patient-centered care, partnering with patients and families to meet their goals.
- Coordinate safe, quality care through effective communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Support performance improvement initiatives, research, and evidence-based practice to enhance patient outcomes.
- Mentor and serve as a preceptor for colleagues, fostering a healthy and professional work environment.
- Participate in protocol development, resource management, and data collection to improve care delivery and reduce adverse events.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates or Bachelor’s Nursing degree preferred.
- Current RN license (single state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
- Experience with direct patient care preferred.
- Proficiency in English, strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and effective time management.
- Ability to use technology effectively in clinical practice and respond calmly to emergencies.
