RN – Acute Care – Orthopedic Surgery – Part-Time Night Shift

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) in this role provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team, supporting individual patient needs and promoting clinical excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practice and critical thinking.
  • Delivers relationship-based, culturally sensitive care with a focus on patient and family engagement.
  • Collaborates with team members through effective communication, documentation, and participation in performance improvement activities.
  • Supports professional development by completing competency assessments, mentoring, and serving as preceptor or role model.
  • Promotes evidence-based practice, research, and adherence to organizational policies and safety standards.
  • Participates in protocol development, resource management, and quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of RN experience, with direct patient care preferred.
  • Associates or diploma in nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments and respond to emergencies.
  • Proficiency in technology, critical thinking, and time management essential.
