RN – Acute Care – Orthopedic Surgery – Full-Time Night Shift

Role Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in this acute care position specializes in orthopedic surgical care, providing high-quality, individualized, and safe patient care within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team. The role involves practicing evidence-based nursing, coordinating care, and advocating for patient needs, families, and significant others. The RN supports performance improvement, mentorship, and professional development, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using the nursing process.

Delivering patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations and cultural backgrounds.

Partnering with patients and families through effective communication, education, and goal setting.

Ensuring safe, quality care through proper documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Participating in performance improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and research activities.

Supporting resource management, protocol development, and system efficiency.

Mentoring and serving as a preceptor to promote a qualified, future-ready nursing workforce.

Maintaining compliance with all policies, standards, and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:

Associates or Bachelor of Nursing degree (Bachelor preferred).
Current RN licensure (single-state or multi-state compact).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
Less than one year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates eligible.
Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and a commitment to evidence-based practice.
