RN – Acute Care – Orthopedic Surgery – Full-time Day Shift

Role Overview: This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Acute Care within an orthopedic surgical unit. The RN collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care, guided by evidence-based practices and organizational models. They uphold professional standards outlined by state regulations and the American Nurses Association, ensuring compliance with policies and promoting service excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity and involves patients and families in care planning.
  • Coordinate safe and effective care delivery through interdisciplinary communication, documentation, and collaboration.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research, and promote evidence-based nursing practices.
  • Mentor and serve as a preceptor for other nurses and healthcare staff to foster professional growth.
  • Develop protocols, optimize resource use, and contribute to quality outcomes such as reducing readmissions and adverse events.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Diploma; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Current RN license (single state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in clinical technology and capable of functioning effectively in fast-paced environments.
