Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team, primarily in orthopaedic surgical units. They practice in a supportive environment guided by evidence-based standards, organizational policies, and professional ethics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practices.
- Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive care tailored to patient populations.
- Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making.
- Coordinate and document safe, quality care, promoting teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Participate in performance improvement, research activities, and shared governance initiatives.
- Serve as a mentor/preceptor, supporting professional development of colleagues and students.
- Uphold clinical standards, policies, and regulations, ensuring compliance with accreditation and safety goals.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Valid RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of RN experience, with direct patient care preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and technological skills.
