RN – Acute Care – Ortho Surgical – Part-Time Night Shift

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team, primarily in orthopaedic surgical units. They practice in a supportive environment guided by evidence-based standards, organizational policies, and professional ethics.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practices.
  • Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive care tailored to patient populations.
  • Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making.
  • Coordinate and document safe, quality care, promoting teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Participate in performance improvement, research activities, and shared governance initiatives.
  • Serve as a mentor/preceptor, supporting professional development of colleagues and students.
  • Uphold clinical standards, policies, and regulations, ensuring compliance with accreditation and safety goals.

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • Valid RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of RN experience, with direct patient care preferred.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and technological skills.
