RN Acute Care – Ortho Surgical – Part-Time Night Shift

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse specializes in acute care for orthopedic surgical patients, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform the Nursing Process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practices tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Provide relationship-based, culturally sensitive care, partnering with patients and families to align care with their goals.
  • Coordinate and document safe, quality care through effective communication and teamwork, supporting performance improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and serve as a preceptor for other nurses and staff, fostering a competent workforce.
  • Promote evidence-based practice, participate in research, and uphold organizational policies, safety standards, and accreditation requirements.
  • Contribute to resource planning, protocol development, and patient outcome optimization.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years RN experience, preferably in direct patient care.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), with BLS or ARC-BLS certification required.
  • Associates or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in clinical technology and documentation practices.
