Role Summary: Acts as a pharmacist at the Retail Site Pharmacy, delivering accurate, safe, and efficient medication services. Responsible for interpreting prescriptions, ensuring proper medication dispensing, counseling physicians and patients, and managing pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret prescriptions, evaluate drug interactions, conduct drug utilization reviews, and make formulary recommendations. Process prescriptions received via telephone or in person, verifying patient information and medication profiles. Provide counseling to ensure proper medication use and patient compliance. Supervise pharmacy staff, delegate tasks, and ensure regulatory compliance. Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff on drug therapy and formulary issues. Prepare sterile and specialized medications when necessary. Assist in inventory management and pharmacy operations as needed. Suggest operational improvements to enhance pharmacy services. Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required. Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and pharmacy regulations. Excellent communication, counseling, and supervisory skills. Ability to make professional determinations regarding medication therapy. Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Work is performed in a clinical environment, focusing on patient care and compliance with organizational policies.
