Position: Respiratory Therapist RRT- Weekender
Location: Edward Hospital – Naperville, IL
Hours: Full Time, 36 hours/week, night shifts on Fridays/Saturdays or Saturdays/Sundays, with holiday coverage as needed
Pay Range: $33.16 – $51.40/hour, based on experience
Responsibilities include: Performing all forms of respiratory therapy, chest physical therapy, and diagnostics while guiding and teaching staff. Assessing and treating patients across all ages, involving families in care plans, and educating them. Administering therapies, managing advanced techniques and equipment, and maintaining airway during CPR. Conducting blood gas sampling, pulmonary function testing, and quality control. Explaining procedures to patients and staff, documenting care, and providing guidance to respiratory techs. Maintaining equipment and department appearance, and performing duties of the Director in their absence, all while adhering to policies.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, RRT certification or registry eligible, Illinois license within 6 months, current CPR, and within 24 months ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications. Experience in blood gas analysis, acid-base balance, and cardiopulmonary physiology is required.
